Total Rewards & HRIS Manager
The Total Rewards Manager will contribute to the company's strategic initiatives by providing support and inputs into the development and maintenance of Tropicale’s total rewards programs. Your actions will positively impact lives, leveraging selfless excellence and teamwork. Collaboration with People Operations, Finance, and Accounting, along with having a bit of fun along the way, defines our work culture. Reporting to the VP, Human Resources.
Key Performance Areas
- Compensation
- Provide detailed analytical support to HR Leadership, including research, ad hoc analysis, reporting, tracking metrics, and recommendations.
- Perform analysis on compensation, report findings, and make recommendations.
- Interface with People Ops to ensure timely delivery of compensation program elements.
- Analyze organizational pay practices and recommend salary adjustments to maintain internal equity.
- Conduct job analysis to determine appropriate job levels according to guidelines and policies.
- Support Total Rewards and People Operations projects as the organization grows.
- Manage complex and confidential tasks, initiatives, and projects, assuming ownership as needed.
- Manage development, review, and updates to Total Rewards policies and documentation.
- Partner with People Ops to identify process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Conduct audits of compensation and benefits programs for compliance.
- Provide ad hoc analytics support to stakeholders.
- Submit market surveys and revise job matches based on market conditions.
- Assist with compliance efforts, including new programs, vendors, open enrollment, ACA reporting, Form 5500, nondiscrimination testing, and 401(k) audits.
- Benefits
- Partner with HR management on benefits strategy development and execution.
- Communicate retirement plan information, answer employee questions, and oversee 401(k) administration.
- Review and reconcile health and welfare benefits for accuracy.
- Ensure retirement plans meet ERISA regulations through analysis and audits.
- Manage the annual TIP Program, including eligibility, calculations, distributions, and record keeping.
- Assist in managing other benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, COBRA, 401(k).
- Communicate benefits to employees, conduct audits, and ensure legal compliance.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in benefit programs.
- Perform billing, invoicing, and eligibility audits; implement plan and process changes.
- Oversee vendor performance to ensure service standards are met.
- Gain knowledge of insurance offerings and HR policies.

- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or working toward it.
- Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or working toward it.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years experience in compensation and benefits, preferably in high-growth organizations.
- Experience in market analysis and benchmarking.
- Project coordination skills supporting initiatives.
- Collaborative, independent work style with urgency, process focus, and attention to detail.
- Strong research and quantitative skills.
- Experience in complex, matrixed environments.
- Advanced MS Office skills; familiarity with Google Applications.
- Experience with HRIS systems and reporting tools.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Travel up to 30%.
