Rain for Rent is seeking a Director, Total Rewards to lead compensation, benefits, payroll, and People Systems. This role partners with HR Leadership to translate strategy into effective programs and scalable processes that support growth and a positive employee experience.

The role emphasizes governance, data-driven decisions, cross-functional collaboration, and a hybrid/onsite work model with strong leadership and analytical requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, finance, economics, accounting, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive Total Rewards experience.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience.
• Experience leading compensation strategy and enterprise-wide rewards programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a Total Rewards strategy aligned with growth and workforce needs.
• Lead compensation philosophy, job architecture, salary structures, market benchmarks, and pay equity analyses.
• Collaborate on annual compensation planning, merit budgeting, and incentive programs for leadership; lead plan redesign.
• Ensure governance, documentation, and payout validation for commissions and incentive plans.
• Lead benefits strategy, design, renewals, enrollment, and employee communications across health, welfare, retirement.
• Provide strategic payroll oversight, multi-state compliance, audits, and scalable delivery.
• Oversee People Systems enhancements, self-service adoption, and streamlined workflows.
• Establish a reliable data source and leadership dashboards for informed decisions.
• Prepare executive analyses on compensation, benefits, and workforce investments.
