Job summary

AssuranceAmerica is seeking an experienced Total Loss Supervisor in Atlanta to oversee inventory, allocation, and escalation of claims. You will mentor adjusters, ensure compliance, and drive performance metrics across the total loss team.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of P&C insurance experience with at least 3 years handling total loss claims.
  • Extensive knowledge of repair and total loss techniques.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Valid driver’s license and Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

  • Review and monitor total loss claim inventory to ensure timely handling and resolution.
  • Assign and distribute new total loss claims based on workload and staffing needs.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to adjusters regarding vehicle valuations, settlement calculations, title issues, and coverage questions.
  • Review claim files for quality, accuracy, compliance, and adherence to company procedures.
  • Approve settlement authority within established limits and escalate exceptions as needed.
  • Handle customer, attorney, lienholder, and regulatory escalations related to total loss claims.
  • Monitor cycle times, pending claims, and key performance metrics to identify and address delays.
  • Conduct claim audits and provide feedback to improve claim quality and consistency.
  • Assist adjusters with negotiation of disputed vehicle values and settlement concerns.
  • Oversee title processing, salvage disposition, and lienholder payoff activities to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate with appraisal vendors, salvage vendors, valuation providers, and internal departments as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, company guidelines, and documentation standards.
  • Conduct team meetings to communicate department updates, performance expectations, and process changes.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new total loss adjusters.
  • Track staffing needs, productivity trends, and workload distribution to support operational goals.
  • Prepare and report departmental metrics and trends to management.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, customer experience, and claim outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for complex total loss claims requiring supervisory involvement.

About YOU
Required
  • 5 years of P&C insurance background with a minimum of 3 years total loss claims handling.
  • Significant knowledge of repair and total loss techniques and statutory requirements are necessary.
  • Spanish-English bilingual proficiency
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Bachelor's Degree
Preferred
  • Prior supervisory role.
