Kemper is seeking a Total Loss Claims Adjuster to resolve assigned total loss claims, reviewing coverage, estimates and related charges to ensure timely, cost-effective resolutions. Responsibilities include handling owner retained, commercial auto, and exotic lines with appropriate licensing and adherence to regulatory guidelines.

The role requires strong communication, analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate with insureds, claimants, and service providers to reach fair settlements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of claim handling.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Must obtain and maintain state licensing where applicable.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Analytical ability to evaluate claims and settlements.

Responsibilities

• Complete required courses and licensing within stated timelines.
• Review loss notices to assess exposure and enter data accurately.
• Contact insureds and claimants the same day or within 24 hours.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders and negotiate settlements.
• Adhere to state Fair Claims Practices Acts and related regulations.
• Handle all claims within authority level with timely, cost-effective resolutions.
