Job summary

Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD) located in Katy, TX, is seeking a Torque Technician for the Carthage, TX site to perform bolting and joint integrity services in the natural gas and petrochemical sectors. The role requires at least 2 years' torque technician experience, proficiency with torque wrenches and pneumatic/hydraulic torquing equipment, and a commitment to safety on active job sites.

Candidates with gas plant construction exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as a Torque Technician.

Responsibilities

• Execute technical bolting and joint integrity services in accordance with site procedures.
• Operate calibrated tools, including torque wrenches and pneumatic/hydraulic torquing equipment.
• Identify and use all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned work.
• Bolt up flanges using materials indicated on the BOM.
• Identify improper flange connections, hi/lo, wrong gasket or bolts.
