Job summary

Optimized Process Designs (OPD) in Baytown, TX seeks a Torque Technician to perform bolting and joint integrity work on process equipment. You will operate calibrated torque wrenches and pneumatic/hydraulic torquing gear, bolt flange connections per BOM, and inspect for proper installation.

You will join a safety-focused team on industrial projects, working outdoors in varying conditions and contributing to reliable plant operations.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as a Torque Technician
• Able to operate calibrated torque tools and equipment
• Able to identify proper bolt up and flange conditions

Responsibilities

• Execute bolting and joint integrity services per procedures
• Operate calibrated torque wrenches and torquing equipment
• Bolt up flanges using BOM materials
• Identify flange installation issues (hi/lo, wrong gasket, bolts)
