Job summary

Optimized Process Designs (OPD), a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is seeking a Torque Technician in Baytown, TX to perform bolting and joint integrity services on site. You will operate calibrated torque wrenches and pneumatic/hydraulic torquing equipment, follow procedures, and ensure flange connections meet BOM specs; safety is a must.

Requirements include at least 2 years' torque technician experience and the ability to work outdoors in demanding conditions; a detail-oriented team player

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Torque Technician.
• Experience in gas plant construction is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute technical bolting and joint integrity services per site procedures.
• Operate calibrated torque tools; calibrate equipment to desired torque/pressure.
• Identify and use tools/equipment needed for assigned work.
• Bolt up flanges using BOM-specified materials.
• Identify improper flange connections (hi/lo, wrong gasket, bolts).
