Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Torque Engineer in the United States to ensure the integrity, reliability, and compliance of bolted joints across manufacturing operations. You will lead torque studies, audits, and calibration programs while working with Quality, Manufacturing, and Product Engineering teams.

The role requires 3–7 years in manufacturing or torque-related fields, a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, and expertise with torque tool performance and joint design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related technical field.
• 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing/quality engineering or torque processes.
• Experience conducting torque audits, joint analysis, and torque tool validation.
• Knowledge of bolted joint design principles and fastening technologies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct joint studies to evaluate bolted assemblies and determine optimal fastening strategies.
• Develop and validate torque specifications based on requirements and industry practices.
• Perform torque-tension correlation testing and joint characterization studies.
• Audit torque processes to ensure compliance with standards and customer requirements.
• Own calibration program for torque tools and related equipment.
