Precision of New Hampton, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer / Automation Specialist to design torque converters and optimize manufacturing processes in our Iowa facility.

You will program CNCs with G-Code, implement Ladder Logic, and apply AI tools to improve performance, durability, and efficiency, working closely with owners and production teams. This is a hands-on role with opportunities for long-term growth in a family-owned company.

Qualifications

• Design or optimize torque converters for automotive or industrial applications.
• Hands-on mechanical problem-solving experience.
• Solid knowledge of G-Code and Ladder Logic.
• Experience applying AI tools in manufacturing environments.
• Understanding of material properties and metallurgy.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize torque converters for improved performance, efficiency, and durability.
• Program and troubleshoot automated systems using G-Code (CNC) and Ladder Logic (PLC).
• Apply AI tools to enhance manufacturing processes, material selection, and product development.
• Perform mechanical design, analysis, and material evaluation.
• Collaborate with production teams to implement new designs and process improvements.
