Job summary

Convergix Automation Solutions is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer to drive design and development of automation equipment per customer specifications. You’ll refine concepts into manufacturable designs meeting performance, durability, and cost targets, reporting to the Mechanical Design Manager.

The role requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering or journeyman tool making, 10 years’ experience in automation design, and proven leadership within cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or technical degree in Mechanical Engineering or Journeyman tool making.
• 10 years of experience designing automation equipment.
• Experience leading a mechanical design project team.

Responsibilities

• Play active role in Mechanical Design Engineering team and collaborate with colleagues.
• Handle complete design process from concept to detailed design and review.
• Develop mechanical components and assemblies meeting performance and manufacturability targets.
• Oversee engineering drawings and documentation per standards.
• Present designs to customers in weekly reviews.
