Job summary

A3 Consulting LLC seeks a seasoned Full Stack Application Developer to modernize defense-based systems. The role involves building secure, scalable web applications deployed across IL5/IL6/JWICS environments, integrating REST/SOAP APIs, and leveraging AI/ML to optimize triage and routing.

You will work in a SAFe software factory with Jira, GitLab, and Confluence, collaborating with UI/UX and security teams to maintain high test coverage and rapid incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification or better required.
• 3–5 years of hands-on full-stack development (Java, Python, Angular, React).
• Strong experience with API development and consumption (REST/SOAP).
• Experience in a DevSecOps CI/CD environment with Agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom web application workflows and case management capabilities for DCSA priorities.
• Support refactoring and migration of legacy capabilities to a modern platform.
• Translate user stories into clean code within a SAFe software factory using Jira, GitLab, and Confluence.
• Participate in daily scrums, sprint planning, and system demonstrations.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to improve usability.
• Ensure architecture adheres to MOSA principles for non-proprietary standards.
• Develop, maintain, and consume REST and SOAP APIs for DoD data sources (DISS, eMASS).
• Engineer AI/ML-enabled solutions to trigger automated alerting and routing workflows.
• Support secure data transfer across CDS across classification enclaves.
• Ensure code meets at least 80% automated test coverage and passes regression tests.
• Write secure code with DevSecOps practices, complying with DISA STIGs and Zero Trust.
