Job summary

Resource Management Concepts, Inc. seeks a Laboratory Operations Lead to oversee PaxSIL lab operations, mentor staff, and manage mission-critical test equipment for aircraft-system integration and testing at Patuxent River, MD.

You will lead technical personnel, coordinate resources, ensure security compliance, and support test execution in a hands-on role critical to DoD testing programs.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret security clearance
• 7+ years of experience in aircraft systems testing, laboratory operations, or related field
• Hands-on experience with military aircraft avionics hardware and test equipment
• Experience leading technical personnel or coordinating teams in an operational, maintenance, laboratory, or test environment
• Experience troubleshooting electrical systems and technical equipment safely and effectively
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders as needed

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and assign work to laboratory personnel
• Coordinate laboratory schedules, resources, maintenance, and test-event support
• Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot avionics, electrical, RF, fiber-optic, simulation, cryptographic, and network equipment
• Support test execution, including pre-test preparation, monitoring, data collection, and documentation
• Manage lab inventory, calibration, maintenance records, supplies, and configuration changes
• Ensure compliance with security, safety, quality, DoD, and NAVAIR requirements
• Identify and mitigate operational risks affecting personnel, equipment, schedules, and lab availability
• Maintain a safe, organized, mission-ready laboratory environment
