Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a senior Architect for Command and Control (C2) within Defense Technology. This onsite role supports Cedar Rapids, IA and other U.S. locations, shaping multi-domain missions and driving roadmaps from concept to mission-ready baselines.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in STEM with DoDAF/SysML/UML experience and an active Top Secret clearance, collaborating with strategy, engineering, and customers to advance next-gen C2 systems.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with extensive experience or an advanced degree with experience.
• Experience with command-and-control systems, architectures, or workflows.
• Proven ability to perform system-level analysis and trades for complex missions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of C2 architectures that define the field and drive mission success.
• Validate architecture concepts in emerging C2 markets and shape roadmaps.
• Collaborate with strategy to assess new C2 market opportunities.
• Lead system-level trades and modeling to inform architecture decisions.
• Integrate electrical warfare concepts into coherent C2 architectures.
• Partner with engineering to transition concepts into baselines.
• Deliver architecture views, gap analyses, and capability roadmaps.
