Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a unit of RTX, seeks a senior architect to define C2 architectures and lead system-level trades for next-gen command and control capabilities. You will drive architecture validation, roadmap alignment, and customer collaboration to shape mission-ready solutions.

Based onsite at Cedar Rapids, IA or other listed US locations, you will work with cross-functional teams across defense tech, focusing on EW concepts, cyber operations, and multidomain integration to enable resilient

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics with extensive relevant experience.
• Experience with command-and-control systems and mission workflows.
• Familiarity with DoDAF/SysML/UML architectures.
• Knowledge of electronic warfare concepts, cyber operations or effectors.
• Active Top Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead creation of C2 architectures to define future concepts.
• Validate architecture concepts in emerging C2 markets.
• Shape technology roadmaps for future C2 capabilities.
• Collaborate with strategy teams on new C2 market opportunities.
• Lead system-level trades and analyses for complex mission systems.
• Integrate EW effector concepts into multidomain C2 architectures.
• Work with engineering to implement architectural baselines.
• Produce architecture artifacts, gap analyses, and capability roadmaps.
• Engage with customers to refine operational needs and map to solutions.
