Job summary
RTX Defense Technologies is seeking a senior architect to define and validate Command and Control (C2) architectures across air, space, and maritime domains. You will lead system-level analyses, partner with strategy teams, and drive technology roadmaps for next-generation C2 capabilities.
Onsite roles supported in Cedar Rapids and other US locations. The ideal candidate has a STEM degree with 12+ years or an advanced degree with 10+ years, deep experience in C2 and EW concepts, and a TS
Qualifications
- Typically requires STEM degree with 12+ years of experience or advanced degree with 10+ years.
- Experience with command-and-control systems, architectures, or mission workflows.
- Ability to perform system-level trades for complex mission systems.
- Experience using DoDAF, UML or SysML architectures.
- Familiarity with electronic warfare, cyber operations, or effector systems.
- 7+ years of relevant engineering or architecture experience.
- Active and transferable Top Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of C2 architectures that define the field and drive mission success.
- Validate architecture concepts in emerging C2 markets.
- Shape technology roadmaps aligned to future needs.
- Partner with strategy teams to assess new C2 opportunities.
- Lead system-level trades, modeling, and analysis for decisions.
- Integrate EW effector concepts into multidomain C2 architectures.
- Collaborate with engineering to transition concepts into baselines.
- Deliver architecture views, gap analyses, and roadmaps.
- Engage with customers to refine needs and align with solutions.
- Represent the organization in technical forums to advance innovation.
