Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings, a Westlake division, is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to manage die changes and line changeovers in a busy extrusion environment. Responsibilities include setting up downstream equipment for size changes, purging machines, wiring heads, training team members, and maintaining tooling inventories while supporting a safe, productive plant atmosphere.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years’ experience in Extrusion or 3+ years in Industrial Maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Make all die changes.
• Set up all downstream equipment for size pipe to be run.
• Purge machines for changeover.
• Cut and build plugs.
• Cut rubber for tanks and bellers.
• Build heads.
• Pre-heat tooling.
• Ensure all downstream equipment is in proper working order.
• Maintain inventory of tooling and supplies.
• Electrically wire all heads.
• Train production team members.
• Be available for occasional unscheduled overtime.
