Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings in Wichita Falls, TX seeks an experienced extrusion/industrial maintenance technician responsible for all size changes of dies and downstream equipment, and for getting product in specification before handing off to production.

You will start up lines after changeovers, purge machines, and ensure tooling and downstream systems are ready. The role involves training team members and occasional overtime in a transitioning work environment.

• 2 years' experience in Extrusion or 3+ years in Industrial Maintenance.

SUMMARY

Responsible for all size changes of dies and downstream equipment. Startup of line after changeover. Getting product in specification before turning the line over to production.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position has a transitioning work environment. Office/computer, manufacturing plant and outdoor environments are normal. The noise level in the plant environment is usually high, as normal for a manufacturing plant. Some of the work in the operating units may require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, fall protection, hard hats, etc.
