Job summary

Valeo North America is seeking a Tooling Technician for the 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday, 10PM-6:30AM) in Smyrna, GA. You will perform injection mold tooling repairs and PM, work as the internal tooling department for molding, and ensure parts conform to latest mold prints.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 4+ years of experience with plastic injection molding tooling, including cosmetic automotive parts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of experience repairing and maintaining plastic injection molding.
• Experience with plastic injection mold tooling that produces cosmetic automotive parts.

Responsibilities

• Carry out injection mold tooling repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Work independently as the internal tooling department for molding.
• Repair and/or make parts to conform to latest mold prints 2D/3D data.
• Perform basic heat treating, MIG/TIG welding, silver solder, precision hand fitting, and bench work.
• Maintain records and logs and report low stock inventories.

• You will do injection mold tooling repairs and preventative maintenance (PM)
• You will work independently as the internal tooling department for molding
• You will repair and/or make any parts to conform to latest mold prints 2D/3D data
• You will perform other work such as basic heat treating, MIG/ TIG welding, silver solder, precision hand fitting, miscellaneous bench work
• You will maintain all records and logs as required.
• Report and order any low stock inventories
• You will accomplish other duties as assigned
