Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Tooling Technician for the 3rd shift in Smyrna, TN. The role focuses on injection mold tooling repairs and preventive maintenance, operating as the internal tooling department for molding.

You will repair parts to conform to mold prints (2D/3D data) and perform heat treating, welding, soldering, hand fitting, and bench work while maintaining logs and stock records. Requires a high school diploma or GED and 4+ years with plastic injection mold tooling that produces cosmetic

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 4+ years of experience repairing and maintaining plastic injection molding.
• Experience with plastic injection mold tooling that produces cosmetic automotive parts.

Responsibilities

• Perform injection mold tooling repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Work independently as the internal tooling department for molding.
• Repair parts to conform to latest mold prints 2D/3D data.
• Perform basic heat treating, MIG/TIG welding, silver solder, precision hand fitting, bench work.
• Maintain records and logs; report and order low stock inventories.
• Accomplish other duties as assigned.
