Job summary

Valeo, a global automotive supplier, seeks a Tooling Technician to join our 3rd shift in Smyrna, AL. You will perform injection mold tooling repairs, preventative maintenance, and support the internal tooling department to meet cosmetic automotive part standards.

Responsibilities include making repairs per latest mold prints (2D/3D data), basic heat treating, MIG/TIG welding, and maintaining logs. A high school diploma and 4+ years in molding tooling are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of experience repairing and maintaining plastic injection molding equipment.
• Experience with plastic injection mold tooling for cosmetic automotive parts.

Responsibilities

• Injection mold tooling repairs and preventive maintenance (PM).
• Work independently as the internal tooling department for molding.
• Repair and/or make parts to conform to latest mold prints (2D/3D data).
• Perform basic heat treating, MIG/TIG welding, silver solder, precision hand fitting, and bench work.
• Maintain all records and logs; report and order low stock inventories.
• Accomplish other duties as assigned.
