Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Tooling Technician for the 3rd shift in Smyrna, TN. You will perform injection mold tooling repairs and preventive maintenance, acting as the internal tooling department for molding and fabricating parts to align with mold prints 2D/3D data.

The role requires a high school diploma and 4+ years of experience with plastic injection mold tooling for cosmetic automotive parts, plus hands-on skills in heat treating, MIG/TIG welding, and precision bench work. OT may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of experience repairing and maintaining plastic injection molding equipment.
• Experience with plastic injection mold tooling producing cosmetic automotive parts.

Responsibilities

• Perform injection mold tooling repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Work independently as the internal tooling department for molding.
• Repair or fabricate parts to conform to latest mold prints 2D/3D data.
• Perform basic heat treating, MIG/TIG welding, silver solder, precision hand fitting, bench work.
• Maintain records and logs; report and order low stock inventories.
• Accomplish other duties as assigned.
