Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector seeks a Program Manager Tool Engineering 3 to lead tooling teams on the Strike program in Palmdale, CA. Responsible for tooling design, fabrication, metrology, and maintenance, with CAM oversight and EVMS compliance.

The role requires a secret clearance, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering complex tooling projects on time and within budget. On-site with some travel and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of professional experience in tooling, manufacturing/operations, assembly lines, and/or implementing technology into a production environment.
• 3 years of proven experience leading teams OR projects.
• Must have an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance and ability to obtain program access.
• Master’s degree and 5 years of professional experience in tooling, manufacturing/operations, assembly lines, and/or implementing technology into a production environment.
• PhD and 2 years of professional experience in tooling, manufacturing/operations, assembly lines, and/or implementing technology into a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide oversight to ensure quality, cost, schedule, and customer satisfaction targets are met.
• Manage large-scale tooling engineering projects from concept through implementation.
• Build partnerships with IPT, Program and Production leadership for alignment and delivery.
• Develop long-range plans to provide affordable tooling products and services.
• Identify staffing/skills requirements, forecasts, and training plans.
• Drive employee development and performance management to build the team.
