Job summary

Textron Inc. is seeking a Front Line Leader – Tooling in Fort Worth, TX, onsite at Bell’s headquarters. The role leads a tooling fabrication team, oversees day-to-day operations, and ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective production with union labor.

1st shift with weekend OT on a rotating basis, supervising up to 25 employees at Plant 1. You’ll drive performance, safety, and quality, provide daily directions, and collaborate across functions to meet TAKT and productivity goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5 years of directly related tooling experience or a leadership role in manufacturing.
• Empowering team leader with goal-oriented, data-driven approach.
• Experience with Leica laser measuring equipment and Spatial Analyzer software preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organization skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily tool fabrication department activities for up to 25 union employees to maximize throughput and profitability.
• Drive performance, safety, quality of work, and labor relations.
• Provide daily assignment and direction to direct reports.
• Manage performance through evaluations and corrective steps as needed.
• Operate in accordance with the local production union Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Use TAKT, earned hours, efficiency, schedule, overhead and overtime to drive accountability.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement and Quality.
