Saab West Lafayette seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for 3rd shift to ensure tooling is supplied, maintained and improved in a high‑tech aircraft manufacturing environment. Youll drive tooling studies, resolve issues and support production teams with safe tool use while adhering to aerospace standards.

Qualifikationen

• Associate Degree in STEM or 2+ years related experience required.
• 2+ years technical/assembly in aircraft manufacturing is a plus.
• Tooling selection / application experience in manufacturing setting.
• Basic tooling design.
• Troubleshooting tooling issues with countermeasures.
• Tooling performance testing and reporting.
• Ability to operate machining and measurement equipment.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Understanding aerospace quality regulations and standards is a plus.
• Knowledge of GD&T is expected.
• Proficiency with computer reporting, including Excel.
• CAD software experience is a plus.
• Driven, innovative, and takes initiative.

• Audit and maintain proper tools within each assembly area.
• Provide support for tooling studies and application.
• Conduct performance testing for tooling and provide reports.
• Investigate and resolve tooling issues.
• Propose new tooling solutions and assist installation of tooling projects.
