Job summary

Hadrian, a leader in autonomous manufacturing, seeks a Manager, Tooling Engineering to design and lead precision tooling systems for large-scale production. You will set technical direction for tooling across components and assemblies and grow a high-performing engineering team.

You'll own the strategic tooling roadmap, balance hands-on leadership with people management, and coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, automation, and programs to stand up new capabilities swiftly and

Qualifications

• Experience leading or managing engineers or a senior technical lead.
• Deep experience designing/tooling for large-scale parts & assemblies (machining, welding).
• Knowledge of materials and fabrication for high-load/high-temp environments.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and program management capabilities.
• Fluency with 3D modeling and simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop a team of tooling engineers.
• Set the technical strategy and roadmap for tooling across large components and assemblies.
• Own delivery and quality of tooling programs from concept through design, build, validation, and iteration.
• Partner with engineering leadership, manufacturing, quality, automation, and programs to align tooling with production goals.
• Manage vendor and supplier relationships to source and implement tooling systems on schedule & budget.
• Establish standards, design reviews, and best practices for analysis, documentation, and validation.
• Provide technical guidance on high-load and high-temperature tooling challenges.
