Job summary

Jobot in Robinson, IL seeks a Tooling Engineer to drive tooling design for ductile iron casting programs. You will use SolidWorks to create tooling and run MAGMA simulations to validate designs before production.

You will own yield improvement across the casting process and collaborate with customers and account managers on new product development, while supporting quoting, launches and testing with process innovations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering or related field; bachelor’s preferred.
• Two+ years hands on CAD modeling, blueprint reading and DFM.
• Manufacturing background required; foundry, tooling design, casting simulation or CNC machining is a plus.
• Strong problem solving and cross-team communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and refine tooling using SolidWorks for ductile iron casting programs.
• Run MAGMA casting simulations to validate designs pre-production.
• Own yield and continuous improvement across the casting process.
• Collaborate with customers and account managers on new product development.
• Support quoting, product launches, testing and validation from start to finish.
• Introduce new technology and process improvements into the operation.
