Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Tooling Engineer in the United States to design and refine tooling for ductile iron casting programs using SolidWorks. You will run Magma simulations to validate designs before they hit the floor, and drive yield improvements across the casting process.

Two or more years of CAD, blueprint reading, and DFM experience are required, with a manufacturing/ foundry background considered a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering or related field required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Two+ years hands-on CAD modeling, blueprint reading and DFx/DFM experience.
• Manufacturing background with foundry, tooling design, casting simulation or CNC machining is a strong plus.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-team communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and refine tooling using SolidWorks for ductile iron casting programs.
• Run casting simulations in MAGMA to validate designs before production.
• Own yield improvement and continuous improvement across the casting process.
• Collaborate with customers and account managers on new product development.
• Support quoting, product launches, testing and validation from start to finish.
• Introduce new technology and process improvements into the operation.
