Job summary

Workforce Recruiter seeks a Tooling Engineer (Palmdale, CA) for a 12-month contract. Onsite position with pay rate $45-55/hr W2 and US citizenship required.

The role encompasses design coordination, test plan development, process improvements, and collaboration with product development to ensure manufacturability. Responsibilities include managing tool and fixture design from concept to validation, developing tool fabrication processes, and ensuring alignment with shop planning and quality

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Catia design experience
• GD&T knowledge and application
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Experience with 3D modeling and detailing in a manufacturing context

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers
• Develop and execute test plans
• Develop and evaluate process improvements
• Assist Product Development to ensure manufacturability of new designs
• Develop manufacturing processes and procedures for tool fabrication
• Manage all phases of projects: design, document, fabricate, assemble and validate
