Job summary

Talent With Heart in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Tooling Engineer for a 12-month on-site contract. The role focuses on designing tooling and fixtures, coordinating test plans, and supporting product development to ensure manufacturability. Pay is $45-$55/hour W2 and US citizenship is required.

You will work closely with the tooling team to manage design, fabrication, and validation across all project phases, using Catia for high-detail 3D modeling and GD&T practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Catia design experience with high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing.
• Knowledgeable in applying Industry Standards related to Detailed Drawing Requirements (ANSI, ISO).
• Experience designing castings, stampings and turned components.
• GD&T knowledge and correct application on drawings.
• Strong writing and communication skills; able to manage technical details.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers (internal and external).
• Coordinate/develop and execute test plans.
• Develop and evaluate process improvements.
• Assist Product Development Team with new product designs to ensure manufacturability and validate processes/technology.
• Develop manufacturing processes, plans, and procedures for tool fabrication and shop planning.
• Manage all phases of projects: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate.
