Job summary

Key People is seeking a Tooling Engineer to support the Tooling department in Palmdale, CA. This on-site, 12-month contract role requires US citizenship and offers a pay rate of $45-$55 per hour on W2.

Responsibilities include coordinating design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures, developing and executing test plans, and driving process improvements. The role entails managing all project phases from design to validation to ensure manufacturability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Catia design experience with high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing.
• GD&T knowledge and ability to apply rules to drawings.
• Efficient in writing, communication and ability to manage technical details.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, both internal and external.
• Coordinate/develop & execute test plans
• Develop & evaluate process improvements
• Assist Product Development Team with new product designs to ensure manufacturability and validate process/technology
• Develop manufacturing processes, plans, and procedures for fabrication of tools and equipment
• Manage all phases of project: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate.
