ExcelliSearch, Inc. is seeking a Tooling Engineer for Palmdale, CA. This on-site, 12-month contract role pays $45–$55 per hour (W2) and requires US citizenship.

The engineer will support the Tooling department on-site in Palmdale and collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure tool fabrication aligns with design intent. Responsibilities include coordinating tool design/fabrication requirements, developing test plans, driving process improvements, and supporting manufacturability

Qualifications

• 3+ years Catia design experience (high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing)
• GD&T knowledge and proper application to drawings
• Familiarity with industry standards (ANSI, ISO) for drawings
• Knowledgeable in designing castings, stampings and turned components
• Efficient in writing and communication, able to manage technical details
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, internal and external
• Coordinate, develop and execute test plans
• Develop and evaluate process improvements
• Assist Product Development Team with new product designs to ensure manufacturability and validate processes/technology
• Develop manufacturing processes, plans, and procedures for tool and equipment fabrication
• Manage all project phases: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate
