Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Tooling Engineer for a 12-month, on-site contract. The role focuses on coordinating design and fabrication of tools and fixtures, with a pay rate of $45-55 per hour on W2.

You will work with the Tooling department to develop test plans, improve processes, and ensure manufacturability of new products. Strong Catia design experience and GD&T knowledge are essential, as is proficiency with Microsoft Office and clear technical communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Catia design experience with high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing.
• Familiarity with ANSI/ISO drawing standards.
• Experience in designing castings, stampings and turned components.
• GD&T knowledge and proper application to drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to manage technical details.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Coordination of design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, both internal and external.
• Coordinate/develop & execute test plans.
• Develop & evaluate process improvements.
• Assist Product Development Team with new product designs to ensure manufacturability, validate process/technology.
• Developing manufacturing processes, plans, and procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment in support of our process work instructions and visual aids of our shop planning process and other functions that affect product performance.
• Managing all phases of project: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate.
