Job summary

6 Degrees Search in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Tooling Engineer for a 12-month on-site contract. The role pays $45-55/hr W2 and requires US citizenship. You will coordinate design and fabrication of tools and fixtures and support manufacturing initiatives.

Responsibilities include developing test plans, validating processes, and guiding projects from design through fabrication. Candidates should have CATIA design experience, 3D modeling, GD&T, and strong communication and MS Office skills to

Qualifications

3+ years of Catia design experience.
Familiarity with ANSI, ISO drawing standards.
Knowledge of castings, stampings, and turned components.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Coordination of design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, both internal and external
Coordinate/develop & execute test plans
Develop & evaluate process improvements
Assist Product Development Team with new product designs to ensure manufacturability, validate process/technology.
Developing manufacturing processes, plans, and procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment in support of our process work instructions and visual aids of our shop planning process and other functions that affect product performance.
Managing all phases of project: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate.
