Job summary

CIE USA-Century Plastics, a division of CIE Automotive, is seeking a Tooling Engineer to support injection mold, compression mold, and RIM tooling needs. You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to drive tooling projects from concept to production.

Responsibilities include creating tooling spec packages, budgeting tooling, leading tool design reviews with suppliers, issuing RFQs, resolving tool issues, and ensuring milestones are met. Domestic travel required.

Qualifications

• Experience in injection molding tooling design and manufacturing.
• 5+ years in mold making and molding industry.
• BS or MS Plastics Engineer preferred or equivalent technical degree.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple programs.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain tooling spec packages for new quotes.
• Manage tooling budgets and cost estimates.
• Lead tooling design reviews with suppliers.
• Support manufacturing with tooling issue resolution.
• Coordinate RFQs and ensure accurate quoting data.
• Track tools to meet program milestones.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.
