Job summary

MPI is seeking a Tool Engineer / Project Manager to drive injection mold programs from concept through production. You will oversee mold design, APQP activities, and project execution as the primary technical liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

The role requires coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery while meeting quality standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Evaluate manufacturability concerns, tooling risks, cost-reduction opportunities, and lead times improvements.
• Review injection mold designs for compliance with customer requirements and internal standards.
• Schedule, facilitate, and lead project review meetings with milestones and deliverables.
• Collaborate with tooling suppliers to manage mold design, development, and production release.

Responsibilities

• Partner with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and admin teams to support program launches.
• Communicate project status, track progress, and maintain schedules using ERP/APQP tools.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost control for tooling programs and transfers.
• Coordinate engineering changes and customer-driven modifications and document scope and risks.
