Job summary

MME group Inc. is seeking a tooling engineer to drive injection mold tooling from concept through completion and support existing production tooling.

You will perform DFM activities, oversee tool design acceptance, and maintain schedules while solving issues throughout the life of the tool. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in designing plastic injection tooling, a relevant engineering degree or trade school, and strong CAD proficiency.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years designing plastic injection tooling.
• Mechanical degree or trade school preferred with emphasis on mold making.
• 5+ years in plastic injection molding industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proficient with MS Office tools.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sustain production tooling, driving repairs and improvements.
• Aid in developing quotes for new tooling, revisions and repairs.
• Store CAD files, customer prints, and related documents.
• Drive new tooling from concept to development.
• Perform DFM activities and engage with customers to resolve issues.
• Oversee and approve mold designs (internal and external).
• Document and resolve tooling issues while pushing for production approval.
