Job summary

Haas Automation, the largest machine tool builder in the western world, seeks a Tooling Engineer 1 to support tooling and workholding product development. You will create 2D/3D drawings, develop usage guides, and provide technical support to customers through various channels.

The role requires CAD/SolidWorks proficiency, basic SAP experience, and a BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering. Travel up to 5% and cross-functional collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• Ability to operate and program CNC machines; Haas preferred.
• Knowledge of cutting tools and workholding.
• CAD/SolidWorks experience required.
• Basic experience with SAP and VBA/Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform sample reviews of cutting tools and workholding for fit, form, and function.
• Create 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
• Develop tool feed/speed calculators and usage guides.
• Collaborate with marketing, product development, and manufacturing to advise on tooling.
• Provide technical support to end users via email, online, and in person.
