Job summary

Haas Automation, Inc. is seeking a Tooling Engineer 2 to apply in-depth knowledge of cutting tools, toolholders, and workholding to support tooling and workholding product development.

You will interact with shop foremen and operators to deliver technical solutions, while enabling customers online, by email, and in person. The TE2 role requires CAD proficiency, CAD/SolidWorks, SAP familiarity, and hands-on CNC programming.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• Must be able to operate and program CNC machines; Haas most preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of cutting tools and workholding.
• CAM experience up to date with current software.
• Intermediate experience with VBA and Python programming.

Responsibilities

• Perform Sample Review Tests of cutting tools and workholding for form, fit, and function.
• Utilize CAD software to develop 2D blueprints and 3D solid models.
• Create technical details, such as feed/speed calculators and usage guides.
• Collaborate with marketing, product development, and manufacturing departments to provide product recommendations.
• Provide training to junior Tooling Engineers.
