The Tooling Engineer 2 (TE2) has an in-depth knowledge of cutting tools, toolholders, workholding, and other machine tool specific industrial supplies. The TE2 sees the world through the lens of a customer, both the shop owner/foreman and the front-line machine operator in order to provide superb technical support to clients, whether online, via e-mails, and/or in person. This uniquely broad perspective makes the TE2 invaluable in tooling/workholding product development for Haas.

Bachelor's Degree BA/BS/BFA/BSA from a four-year college or university is required, plus additional related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be able to write analytical and/or technical reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and create instructional reference material. Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. May need to draw and interpret graphs.
