Job summary

IntelliPro in Rocket Park, FL, is seeking a Manufacturing Tooling Engineer for a 10/05/2026–10/01/2027 contract (on-site). You will design tooling for New Glenn, develop tooling solutions, and address production challenges with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires leadership, technical depth, and commitment to spaceflight standards. The candidate will manage tooling projects end-to-end, from concept through proof testing, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cost,

Qualifications

B.S. degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Experience with tooling design, fabrication, and procurement.
Proven experience with CAD-based design software.
Experience with Creo Parametric and Windchill CAD/PDM systems.
Solid understanding of GD&T and mechanical design fundamentals.
Ability to create FBDs, identify load cases, and perform basic hand calcs.
Three+ years of direct manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Design, create, and release CAD models and drawings for simple tooling per ASME Y14.5.
Solve tooling design challenges including fixtures, transport equipment, test fixtures, and weldments.
Manage tooling projects from concept to commissioning, including procurement and fabrication.
Establish procurement and fabrication priorities and communicate them clearly to the team.
Define and support repair and rework activities.
Perform root cause analyses for nonconformances and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with designers and engineers to optimize safety, cost, quality, cycle time, and maintainability.
