Job Title: Tool Room Clerk

Pay: $23/hr

Shift: Day Shift

Location: Elk Grove, CA

Job Description

As an Inventory Clerk, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Maintenance Department by ensuring accurate inventory management, parts procurement, and effective recordkeeping. Your efforts will contribute to maintaining equipment reliability and smooth plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory levels of maintenance parts, tools, and supplies.
• Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming maintenance parts and materials.
• Issue parts to maintenance technicians and track usage.
• Perform routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate reordering of parts as needed.
• Maintain accurate records within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Create, update, and close work orders in the CMMS system.
• Assist with preventive maintenance scheduling and documentation.
• Generate inventory, purchasing, and maintenance reports.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding parts availability, pricing, and deliveries.
• Utilize Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams, to maintain records and communicate effectively.
• Support maintenance projects by gathering equipment information, manuals, and documentation.
• Maintain organized parts rooms and storage locations.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager with administrative and clerical tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Strong data entry and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance inventory control, maintenance administration, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Experience using CMMS software preferred.
• Forklift experience (1+ year preferred).
• Knowledge of warehouse and food safety practices.
