Job summary

Everus is seeking a maintenance technician in Oregon to repair and maintain tools and equipment used in the electrical power industry. Under limited supervision, you will diagnose, rebuild, and repair equipment, load rental items, and operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts safely.

Experience with hand and power tools, safety protocols, and the ability to manage multiple priorities is important. You will contribute to reliability and customer service while following PPE requirements and company

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of related experience and/or training.
• PPE requirements must be followed.
• Experience with diagnostic meters and operation of trailers/equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs tools and equipment including rental trailers and electrical power industry tools.
• Diagnoses and repairs customer tools and equipment.
• Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Pulls and loads orders of rental items for distribution to and from customers.
• Must be able to operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts/pallet jacks.
• Prepares and maintains records and reports.
• Performs work safely according to procedures.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with employees, agencies and the public.
• Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.

Job Summary

Under limited supervision performs work of minimal difficulty in the repair and maintenance of tools and equipment, pull and restock rental items, performs related work as assigned. Must be able to operate forklifts safely.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or
• One to three years of related experience and/or training

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to follow all PPE requirements
• Skills include use of power and hand tools, use of diagnostic meters and experience with operation of trailers and equipment
• Some tools are company supplied but applicant will need to have some of their own tools.
• Leadership experience in a field environment.
• Experience in the construction industry.

Key Skills & Competencies

• General diagnosis and repair of mechanical, hydraulic and small gasoline engine operated tools and equipment a plus but not necessary.
• Employment in a related field or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
• Must be able to operate forklift safely and complete forklift safety training.
• Requires strong project management skills, analytical and negotiations skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
