Job summary

Everus in McDonough, Georgia seeks a skilled Tools Technician to repair and maintain tools and equipment, including rental trailers used in the electrical power industry. You will safely operate forklifts, pull and restock rental items, and perform preventive maintenance under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs tools and equipment including rental trailers and electrical power industry gear.
  • Diagnoses and repairs customer tools and equipment.
  • Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of equipment.
  • Loads orders for distribution to and from customer.
  • Operates sit-down and stand-up forklifts/pallet jacks.
  • Prepares and maintains records and reports.
  • Operates safely per procedures.
  • Looks up parts for customers.
  • Maintains good working relationships with employees and public.
  • Other duties as needed.

Job Summary

Under limited supervision performs work of minimal difficulty in the repair and maintenance of tools and equipment, pull and restock rental items, performs related work as assigned. Must be able to operate forklifts safely.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or
  • One to three years of related experience and/or training
  • Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • General diagnosis and repair of mechanical, hydraulic and small gasoline engine operated tools and equipment a plus but not necessary.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Attention to details
  • Skills include use of power and hand tools, use of diagnostic meters and experience with operation or trailers and equipment.
  • basic computer skills
  • Must be able to operate forklift safely and complete forklift safety training. Some tools are company supplied but applicant will need to have some of their own tools.
  • Must be able to read schematics for tools
