Job summary

Everus Construction Group, Inc. seeks a seasoned estimator/cost control professional responsible for cost estimating, progress budgeting, change order pricing, and cost forecasting including monthly projections.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and at least eight years’ experience in construction management and estimating on similar facilities. Strong project management and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Eight years’ experience in construction management, estimating, and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts on sales and Business Development for Service Opportunities and related projects.
• Handle tasks related to cost estimating, change order pricing, and cost forecasting including monthly projections.
• Schedule any necessary meetings with relevant project personnel, including estimators and foreman.
• Responsible for all job‑related costs including procurement of materials and equipment.
• Timely completion of WIP reports.
• Submit and track materials.
• Process and obtain approvals of change orders and RFIs.
• Monitoring of all job‑related costs of labor, rental equipment, materials, subcontractors, etc.
• Responsible for billing related to projects and following up on receivables.
• Ensure timely close out of projects and collection of final payment.
• Perform additional assignments as requested.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for cost estimating, progress budgeting, change order pricing, cost forecasting including monthly projections.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• A working knowledge of construction management or engineering at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience; and
• Eight years’ experience in construction management, estimating, and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction.

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Requires strong project management skills, analytical and negotiations skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations; engineering, estimating, schedules and safety required.
• Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule.
• Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills are essential.
• Must maintain confidentiality and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Leadership experience in a field environment.
• Experience in the construction industry.
