Job summary

Trane Supply is seeking a Maintenance Tool and Die Tech to make, repair, and diagnose dies, punches, and tooling. You will work with a team to prioritize CMMS work orders and support lean manufacturing initiatives throughout the plant in Columbia, SC.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, building parts per specifications, and collaborating with maintenance, engineering, and production staff to ensure quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five years of tool and die shop operations experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• CNC programming experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make, repair, and diagnose dies, punches, and tooling/parts.
• Prioritize work based on CMMS work orders and direct assignments.
• Sustain and drive lean manufacturing and 5S activities.
• Support plant operations and collaborate with technicians, engineering, and production teams.
• Interpret prints and build parts based on provided information.
