Job summary

Accelera seeks a Tooling Maintenance Specialist to ensure peak manufacturing efficiency by fabricating, repairing, and maintaining complex tooling, dies, jigs, and fixtures on the shop floor. You will apply precision machining and blueprint interpretation to support engineering initiatives and optimize output.

The role requires 3–5 years in tool and die or precision machining, ability to read technical drawings, and strong setup and quality control capabilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years hands-on tool and die or precision machining.
• Ability to read complex technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, able to operate standard machine shop tools.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet demanding production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Construct, repair, and maintain high-precision tooling, dies, and fixtures for production cycles.
• Operate lathe, milling machines, and grinders to produce accurate prototypes and components.
• Collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot tooling and implement design changes.
• Analyze blueprints and specifications to determine material needs and machining sequences.
• Provide guidance to production staff and fellow machinists on setup challenges.
• Perform quality inspections to verify tolerances and alignment.

You will leverage your expertise in precision machining and blueprint interpretation to support engineering initiatives and optimize manufacturing output.

Responsibilities

• Construct, repair, and maintain high-precision tooling, dies, and fixtures to support seamless production cycles.
• Operate advanced machine shop equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to produce accurate prototypes and components.
• Collaborate directly with engineering teams to troubleshoot tooling issues and implement design modifications that enhance performance.
• Analyze technical blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine optimal material requirements and machining sequences.
• Provide expert technical guidance to production staff and fellow machinists to resolve complex setup challenges.
• Perform rigorous quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify that all components meet exact tolerances and alignment standards.

• Completion of a formal apprenticeship or possession of a Journeyman’s card.
