Job summary

AZEK Exteriors in Mooresville, NC is seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maintenance Technician to keep tooling and dies in peak condition. You will perform preventive maintenance, disassemble and reassemble tooling, operate polishing and cleaning equipment, and train operators on proper care.

This full-time role offers Mon-Fri 7am-3pm, pay $23–$25/hour, and opportunities to contribute to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in tool and die maintenance, machining, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety procedures when handling, installing, transporting, and maintaining heavy dies and tooling.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tooling to maximize performance and extend service life.
• Disassemble, repair, refurbish, and reassemble worn or damaged tools and dies using hand tools.
• Reassemble dies, verify fit and function, and operate related equipment to meet standards.
• Provide training to operators on proper care, handling, and storage of extrusion dies.
• Maintain tooling inventory records and document maintenance activities.
• Inspect and measure dies for wear and quality, ensuring tolerances are met.
• Support continuous improvement and share best practices with the team.
• Assist with tooling trials and troubleshooting as needed.
