Job summary

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of all phases of machining.
• Ability to read and apply complex engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with tooling maintenance and basic metal repair.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, maintain, and modify dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and other tooling.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on dies and tooling.
• Diagnose die and tooling problems and determine repairs.
• Set up and operate manual machine tools such as mills, lathes, surface grinders, drill presses, and related equipment.
• Operate CNC and/or EDM equipment when required by the facility.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, GD&T specifications, and technical documentation.
• Use precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, gauge blocks, and other inspection tools.
• Follow established procedures for lockout/tagout, machine guarding, PPE, and other safety requirements.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective-action activities involving tooling or equipment.
