Job Description

If you are a professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Stafford, TX location, your responsibilities will include interpreting design schematics, cutting and shaping dies, and assembling the completed parts. You will also test the performance of the finished product.

Responsibilities

• Interpretation and Design: Read blueprints and CAD drawings, design jigs and templates for fabrication aids.
• Precision Measurement: Measure and mark metal accurately for machining.
• Machine Setup and Operation: Set up and operate machine tools such as drills, lathes, grinders, and milling machines.
• Surface Finish: Finish metals through filling, grinding, and shimming.
• Assembly and Inspection: Fit and inspect tool and die parts for defects and accuracy.
• Testing and Validation: Conduct test runs to ensure functionality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of experience in tool and die making.
• Knowledge of machine tools and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with metalworking tools like drills, milling machines, grinders, and lathes.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and operate large machinery.
• Experience with quality control analysis.
