Job description

Quanex is seeking a Tool & Die Maker to join our team in Zanesville, OH.

As a Tool & Die Maker, you will design, build, repair, and maintain dies, fixtures, and tooling, as well as fabricate and modify parts used in production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and fabricate dies used in manufacturing
• Evaluate and repair damaged dies and molds
• Assist engineering in designing and fabricating prototype parts
• Design, fabricate, and repair fixtures for manufacturing
• Repair factory machinery and assist maintenance as needed
• Maintain inventory and requisition materials

Qualifications:

• Completed accredited apprenticeship or 2-year technical college education
• 5-7 years of related experience in tool making and repairs
• Knowledge of metal and plastic manufacturing preferred
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and ISO Standards is a plus

The salary range is $32/hr to $36/hr with bonus potential.
